Expand your business: to Canada

Some businesses are discovering what the entertainment industry has known for decades. Canada is a great place to expand business. Production companies began using Canada for its locations decades ago, as producers found that Vancouver can easily resemble middle America. Toronto can look like New York City and Calgary passes for the western region.

Aside from the stunning locations, it is also a favorite for film productions because they offer huge discounts and a subsidy for labor costs that the U.S. just doesn’t offer.

Other businesses would do well to investigate the many benefits of doing business in the land of the Canucks. Like it or not, the fact is that operating a business in Canada could be better for the bottom line than many other places.

Canadian business costs are at least 5 percent lower overall than the U.S. As of now, Canada reportedly enjoys the distinction of having the lowest payroll taxes among G7 countries. Also, the corporate income tax rate recently fell from 18 to 15 percent – which is a whopping half of what the U.S. rate is. No wonder so many businesses are considering doing business there!

Even firms that would simply like to do business with other Canadian businesses can arrange for meetings in the region at convenient meeting spaces. Its strategic location is considered the crossroads between the U.S. markets and Asian economies.

Canada is also a leader in technology and has a firm standing in other types of businesses. The vibrant work force includes highly educated people and the region attracts some of the best job candidates from all over the world. This makes it a great place to consider for starting or expanding many types of businesses.

Perhaps one of the most important reasons to consider operating a business in Canada is that the region welcomes business investments. The government offers special services providing information designed to cater to foreign investors. According to the Economic Intelligence Unit, Canada is forecast to be the top place to do business for at least the next five years.

But what about offices, you say. Before making a commitment on a space, relocation or expansion, it is easy to book temporary digs and meeting rooms that have all the amenities while you find somewhere to settle into. So now there really is no excuse – at least make a visit to check it out!
