Tuscon – So Much More Affordable Than L.A.

Meeting rooms_week 26_1Tucson, Arizona is well known for its year round warm weather and traditionally steady growth patterns. Its proximity to Los Angeles has made it a big draw, since it costs so much less to do business there. Business can enjoy lower operating costs while snagging business from L.A. The way they do this is often by offering lower prices, much to the consternation of competing L.A. businesses.

As a low-cost alternative to both Phoenix and Los Angeles, business investors enjoy a great number of opportunities in Tucson. Also, the work force tends to be highly educated since there are so many affordable universities.

Los Angeles businesses consider moving to Tucson to save on operating costs. During that transition, professionals can use local meeting rooms for as little as $20 an hour, as opposed to around $25 in L.A. That may not seem like a lot, but if you book these rooms regularly, it can add up. Also, the cost of living and other expenses are considerably lower in Tucson – making it even more attractive to L.A. businesses.

Tucson professionals often find themselves traveling to nearby L.A. to strengthen their business relationships and establish new ties. For example, L.A. still offers the lion’s share of networking events, from high tech to entertainment.

For small businesses, Chambers of Commerce, and other business organizations offer some great stuff for startups. They answer questions, help solve problems, host networking events, and consultants offer consultations for those interested.

Some L.A. business people tend to dislike traveling to other cities since they sit in their cars so much. This may seem a bit far fetched, but as someone who spent many years there, I can attest to the truth in that statement. When you spend 45 minutes or more to go under 7 miles on a routine basis, you feel like you went on a road trip every day. For those folks, being able to book conference rooms in L.A. is far less uncomfortable than navigating through LAX – which in itself takes longer than the one and a half hour plane ride to Tucson.

One of the great things about meeting rooms is that they are all over the place – and Davinci has rooms often on a moment’s notice. That makes doing business around the country much easier than it ever was before — and far less costly!
