Sacramento – California’s Business Melting Pot

DMR_week34_1Sacramento’s Mediterranean climate is a huge draw for people – particularly those who enjoy warmer weather with milder winters. Like many areas in California, the demographic is a melting pot of different cultures and types of single and family lifestyles.

As the capitol of the State of California, many companies support government, which dominates the business environment. However, those who desire to start-up a small business can do so fairly easily with the aid of the city’s Economic Development Department. The local Chamber of Commerce also offers many opportunities for assistance and networking in the community.

There are many advantages for businesses in Sacramento, from its geographical structure to its highly qualified workforce. The quality of life tends to be higher than in many other regions of California, due to its amenities, culture, and lower overall cost of living.

New businesses in Sacramento tend to experience the same challenges that other businesses face in terms of affording adequate office space. Usually, the cost of expanding into a large leased space is cost prohibitive. No company can afford to have excess space these days, yet there always seems to be a need for more space from time to time.

For those times when I need more office space, I opt to rent an outside conference room from Davinci. Their rooms all have a state of the art technology with virtual workspaces, modern decor and full service business centers. They are also easy to reserve as day offices and for all types of meetings, from pitches to brainstorming and board room proceedings.

Not only are the rooms fresher and just more invigorating, but they are amazingly affordable. The fact that we can rent a space for as little as $15 an hour in the heart of downtown Sacramento is phenomenal! That’s  over 50 percent in savings over similar hotel spaces. Also, these rooms have far more amenities in terms of what we need for our meetings. One of my favorite parts of using these meeting rooms is that I can also arrange to have meals ordered in if we need to!
