Mobile That Connects with Customers

Mobile usage continues to skyrocket. Last year, 33 percent of web traffic was generated from mobile devices, a number that is projected to hit 39 percent this year.

The impact of mobile is far-reaching when it comes to how work is performed. A recent study reveals that 44 percent of workers check their mobile devices at least 40 times each day for email and to pick up incoming phone calls. And while the majority of workers indicate mobile improves their productivity and saves them one to two hours a week in time, they also note that they work outside of the office one to two hours every day. And while about one-third believe their mobile devices improve their work-life balances, about the same percentage believe they actually have negative repercussions.

Use cases for mobile are constantly expanding and changing. And for business travelers, mobile offers them the convenience and ability to manage various tasks while on the go. Customer relationship management (CRM) applications, social media, project management, and other capabilities can be managed now with a mere swipe and tap. Business travelers no longer need to wait until they get to the hotel room or have time to locate a hotspot on their laptop computers. Rather, they can use their smartphones to manage the communications and task completion.

Mobile Apps: A Missed Opportunity

Yet, only a small percentage of companies use mobile today when managing customer relationships and interactions. Less than 15 percent have a mobile solution or app. Developing a mobile app that allows your customers to engage directly and seamlessly with you would make complete sense considering that the average mobile user spends one hour every day on their smartphone, and 90 percent of that time is spent using installed apps. This is a huge missed opportunity considering the number of mobile users today.

Davinci had this in mind several years ago when we launched an effort to design and build several mobile apps. The goal was to enable customers to find and book conference rooms as well as manage their communications services from their smartphones. Many of the business professionals who use Davinci’s services are mobile workers and constantly on the go. Stopping, finding a WIFI spot, and connecting their laptop consumes valuable time, a commodity many of our customers don’t have.

Davinci’s Mobile Apps

Our first iOS and Android mobile app to go live was Davinci MEET, which is connected to Davinci Meeting Rooms. After downloading the app, customers can search for and book meeting rooms in a matter of a few taps and swipes. They can also compare rates and services with other room sizes in the same location.

Our second and third mobile apps addressed our communications services. Davinci LIVE for iPhone and Android devices allow customers to update their availability status, view messages from their Davinci Live Receptionist teams, and see all of their call activity and history. The Davinci MOBILE app for iPhone and Android takes these capabilities to the next level, enabling clients to take business calls, manage voicemail, and send and receive faxes anywhere, anytime.

Start providing the engagement and experience your customers deserve by signing up for Davinci Live Receptionist and/or Live Web Chat services today. Then, to manage your communication services while on the go, simply download the Davinci LIVE and Davinci MOBILE apps onto your mobile device. For Davinci Meeting Rooms, you can download the mobile app and immediately start searching for a day office or conference room that meets your needs.
